What are the ratings?
Each piece of play equipment has been rated Gold, Silver or Bronze and then broken down into specific areas of development within each section – Physical, Cognitive, Social and Emotional.
The skills badges shown on the product page shows the breadth and depth of development within each skill area.
The equipment offers a set of highly beneficial skills within this area and/or there is variety of skills which are covered.
The set is beneficial to some extent for this skill area and/or there is some variety in the skills that are covered (within the skill area).
The set may be slightly, or not at all beneficial for this skill area and/or there is little or no variety in the skills that are covered (within the skill area).
What does this mean for me?
This means that you can be confident that the equipment you are purchasing is suitable not only for play but for childhood development and has been scored against the National Curriculum. A child’s ability and potential to learn are influenced by a range of factors which are not fixed at any given time, these can be particularly influenced by external environmental effects so our guide can help you and us select products to suit your location and children requirements.
