The new gym has provided a good exercise trail along the existing path. The SUDS bond allows use of the gym in all weather conditions as SUDS offers fast drainage and no surface water build up. As the site is popular with dog walkers a dog lead post was installed at each two unit pad. This allows dog walkers to stop off and work out safely with their dog closely by. The site offers a wide range of unit for strength and cardiovascular activities along with two wheelchair friendly units.

The new fitness space offers children a range of exercise options and a combination of multi users and single user units were installed. Bow top fencing and a gate allowed the gym to be secured from general play, keeping the area safe of supervised sessions. KS2/ KS3 Activity packs were also provided with PE curriculum based information to aid teaching sessions with pupils.

The site created has created a safe and secure location for patients to exercise outside. Exercise has been proven to increase endorphins which trigger a positive feeling in the body, which works well for the Cedar House. The site is well used and allows a combination of cardiovascular and strength based workouts.

The new outdoor gym has created a fantastic new fitness opportunity for the school. The fenced location allows the site to be closely monitored during use and has created a great zone for school PE lessons. The children have found the new site offers a range of exercise options and the multi user stations allow the children to exercise with friends.

The installation was a success and the school were able to come back from half term to the new equipment to use. The outdoor gym has been popular for use during break time with students and the amount of use stations available mean children are able to exercise with their friends. The Outdoor classroom is great for resting during break time along with providing a sheltered space for outdoor learning.

The outdoor gym installation has been a great hit with the students and has allowed a new fitness option at recreational time along with being used during PE lessons. We also supplied the full Action Packs for KS2/KS3 lessons and Teacher Training for 2 hours to ensure staff knew how to get the best from each unit and create an exercise plan for lessons. These guides are supplied as hard copy and can be accessed digitally on the app.
