The Vision
Bocketts Farm, one of Surrey’s most popular family attractions, set out to completely overhaul its existing playground to create an engaging, safe, and long-lasting play space for visitors.
Covering nearly 1,300m², the playground needed to:
- Accommodate over 150 children at once, providing play opportunities for toddlers to older kids.
- Enhance the visitor experience, making the play area a central attraction.
- Minimise maintenance needs by using high-quality, rust-resistant materials.
- Blend seamlessly into the farm’s natural environment, ensuring a sustainable and aesthetically pleasing design.
The Solution
Caloo worked closely with Bocketts Farm to deliver a large-scale, high-quality playground, utilising durable, low-maintenance materials to ensure longevity.
Key features of the new playground included:
- Aluminium play structures, chosen for their durability, rust-free properties, and long-term sustainability.
- High-pressure laminate (HPL) panels, crafted from recycled materials, offering a robust yet eco-friendly design.
- TPV rubber surfacing, providing shock absorption, vibrant colours, and a safe play environment.
- Repurposed bark surfacing, where existing materials were excavated and reused, reducing waste and landfill impact.
