The Brief:
The Client were looking to install an outdoor gym into their playing field to increase fitness options for the school. The Client were looking to keep a natural look and feel with the surfacing but to also allow durability throughout the year, grass matt surfacing under the units was selected.
Equipment Installed:
• Education Outdoor Gym bundle with eight units and 14 user stations
• Grass matt safety surfacing
The Challenges:
The installation took place in school holidays to avoid children being on-site during the installation process. The equipment was installed, and surfacing laid all within timeframes given and budget specified.
Outcome:
The new fitness zone opened a range of options for children to keep active outside with up to 14 users at any one time.
Each unit offers a cardiovascular workout which is perfect for school children and each unit installed has been independently risk assessed for children of this age.
The gym has proved popular with the children and they are keen to engage with each of the units during PE and supervised break times.
