Croudace Homes Ltd aimed to create an engaging and inclusive play and sporting area for the residents of their new housing development in Burgess Hill. The goal was to provide a safe, high-quality recreational space that catered to all age groups and abilities, encouraging active lifestyles and fostering a strong sense of community.
Key objectives included:
- A playground with equipment suitable for toddlers to teenagers.
- A Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) to facilitate football, basketball, and tennis.

The Solution
Caloo worked closely with Croudace Homes to design and install a fully equipped play and sports area that met the needs of the growing community.

- Robinia Seesaw for interactive play.
- Robinia Multiplay Unit with climbing, sliding, and balancing elements.
- Clamber Stack, encouraging agility and coordination.
- Robinia Swing and Single Basket Swing, providing inclusive swinging experiences.
- Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA):
- Football, basketball, and tennis facilities, complete with line markings.
- Removable tennis net posts, allowing flexible use of the court.
- Free-standing five-a-side goals, creating a versatile sports zone.
- Additional site amenities:
- Wooden benches, providing seating for families and spectators.
- Square litter bin, ensuring a clean and well-maintained space.
Key Considerations
The large-scale project was installed during the winter months, requiring adjustments to the installation schedule due to unpredictable weather conditions. To keep the project on track, regular communication with Croudace Homes ensured that the team could resume work as soon as conditions allowed. Through effective project management, the installation was completed on time and to the highest standard.
