The Vision
Three Rivers District Council aimed to revitalise an outdated and underused playground, transforming it into a unique, engaging space suitable for all age groups. The existing site featured only basic play equipment, limiting the variety of play experiences available to the local community.
The objective was to introduce a diverse range of equipment, creating a dynamic play space that encouraged physical activity, imaginative play, and social interaction.
The Solution
Caloo worked closely with Three Rivers District Council to design and install an exciting new playground, featuring a blend of adventure, sensory, and social play elements.
Key installations included:
- CC 12-3004 Castle Multiplay Unit, a stunning centrepiece offering multiple play opportunities.
- A 4-way Springer, providing bouncing fun for younger children.
- A Roundabout with Seating, ensuring inclusive play for children of all abilities.
- A BH-300 Spinning Seesaw, adding a dynamic, movement-based play experience.
- Swings with 2 flat, 2 cradle, and 1 basket seat, catering to a wide age range.
- Hand Chimes, introducing a musical sensory element to the space.
- A Mound with Tunnel, Stepping Posts, and Link Sleeper Mounds, creating exciting climbing and exploration opportunities.
- Wild Meadow Planting and Ancillary Items, enhancing the natural feel of the playground.
The Impact
The newly transformed play area has been met with enthusiastic community feedback, attracting more visitors and providing a safe, engaging space for children of all ages.
