The 3 Bells Musical Play Panel gives children a bright, hands-on introduction to making music outdoors. Three stainless steel bells sit behind a cheerful yellow HDPE panel, each struck by sliding a coloured counter along its track. As children slide the blue, red and yellow sliders, every bell rings out with its own clear tone. Caloo mounts the panel at a height that keeps all three bells within easy reach, so the activity suits a wide range of ages and abilities. Because the sliders move smoothly and the bells respond instantly, children quickly connect their actions with the sound they create. In addition, musical note graphics wrap around the panel, giving it a lively, playground-ready look.
Key features of the 3 bells musical play panel
Caloo builds the panel from tough two colour HDPE, so the bright yellow finish stays vivid through years of outdoor use. The bells themselves are stainless steel with a brushed finish, chosen for their durability and clean tone. Three coloured sliders let children strike each bell in turn, encouraging back and forth play between friends. Because the panel arrives fully assembled, schools and parks can install it quickly and get children playing sooner. As a result, the 3 Bells Musical Play Panel suits busy sites that need equipment to go from delivery to daily use with minimal fuss.
The panel positions its bells at an easily accessible height, so children who use wheelchairs or have limited reach can join in just as easily as their friends. Because sound based play does not depend on fine motor skills in the same way climbing or balancing does, it gives children of mixed abilities a genuinely shared activity. So the 3 Bells Musical Play Panel works well in SEN and inclusive playgrounds, where groups need equipment that welcomes everyone without singling anyone out.
Built to last
Caloo designs every panel to the BS EN 1176 play safety standard, backed by guidance from RoSPA, so schools and councils can specify it with confidence. The HDPE panel and stainless steel bells are built to handle daily play in all weather, from playground downpours to summer heat, without fading or losing their tone.
Pair the 3 Bells Musical Play Panel with other panels from Caloo’s Play Panels range, such as a tongue drum or chime panel, to build a themed music corner where children explore rhythm, pitch and sound in one dedicated space.
