Fitness Zones

One structure, a whole gym. Our fitness zones combine callisthenics bars, strength stations and conditioning frames into a single welded steel rig, built to BS EN 16630 and available in adult and junior sizes. We design, supply and install across the UK.

Why it matters

The Benefits of Outdoor Fitness Zones

A fitness zone does the job of a whole row of separate machines in a single footprint. Because the frame is welded as one structure rather than bolted together from individual units, it takes less ground, less groundwork and less maintenance than an equivalent spread of standalone equipment.
  • A full gym in one footprint – Pull-up, dip, press, core and conditioning stations all sit on one rig, so a small or awkward site still gets a complete outdoor fitness area.
  • More users training at the same time – Several people can work on different sides of the frame at once, which suits group sessions, PE lessons and busy park times far better than single-user machines.
  • Welded steel, built to the standard – Each zone is manufactured as a single hot-dip galvanised structure to BS EN 16630, so there are no bolted joints to work loose over time.
  • Adult and junior versions of the same idea – The Junior Fitness Zone scales bar heights and reaches for younger users, letting schools and parks provide for two age groups in the same style.
  • Lower whole-life cost than separate units – One structure means one set of foundations, one surfacing area and one inspection point, which cuts both the install cost and the ongoing maintenance burden.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about specifying, installing and maintaining Fitness Zones.
What is the difference between a fitness zone and individual gym units?

Individual units let you spread stations across a site and add to them over time. A fitness zone puts the same range of exercises into one compact structure, which usually works out cheaper to install and is easier to maintain where space is limited.

Who can use a fitness zone, and what age is it for?

The standard fitness zone is designed for users aged 14 and over and suits parks, recreation grounds, and secondary schools. The junior fitness zone uses lower bar heights and shorter reaches for primary-age children so that schools can provide for both groups.

What surfacing is needed under a fitness zone?

Because users hang and work at height, impact-absorbing surfacing is required to the critical fall height of the rig. We normally specify wet pour rubber or rubber mulch, and we supply and install both as part of the same project.

Do fitness zones meet UK safety standards?

Yes. Our fitness zones are manufactured and installed to BS EN 16630, the European standard for permanently installed outdoor fitness equipment. We are also ConstructionLine, CHAS, API and RoSPA accredited, and we can provide post-installation inspection reports.
