The Cam Chimes Musical Panel lets children turn coloured cams to ring five different chime notes. Five anodised aluminium tube chimes sit behind a bright yellow HDPE panel. Each chime has its own coloured cam lever in red, orange, yellow, blue or white. As children turn a cam, the chime above it rings out with a clear, bell-like tone. Because the cams turn smoothly, children quickly learn which lever makes which sound. So they naturally work along the row, comparing each note in turn. In addition, musical note graphics decorate the panel’s wavy edge, giving it a playful look that stands out in any play area.
Key features of the cam chimes musical panel
Caloo builds the panel from tough two colour HDPE. As a result, its bright yellow finish stays vivid through years of outdoor use. The five tube chimes are anodised aluminium with a brushed finish, chosen for a clean, lasting tone. Each cam lever lets children control exactly when a chime sounds. Because of this, the panel rewards experimentation as much as repetition. The panel arrives fully assembled, so schools and parks can install it quickly. Children can be playing the same day. As a result, the Cam Chimes Musical Panel suits busy sites that need equipment ready straight from delivery.
Caloo positions the activity at an easily accessible height. So children who use wheelchairs or find reaching difficult can turn every cam alongside their friends. The cams need only a light, controlled movement, not strength or fine grip. Because of this, the panel gives children of different abilities a genuinely shared activity. So the Cam Chimes Musical Panel suits SEN and inclusive playgrounds, where equipment needs to welcome every child without singling anyone out.
Built to last
Caloo designs every panel to the BS EN 1176 play safety standard, backed by guidance from RoSPA. As a result, schools and councils can specify it with confidence. The HDPE panel and aluminium chimes handle daily play in all weather. They resist fading and keep their tone through playground downpours and summer heat alike.
Pair the Cam Chimes Musical Panel with other panels from Caloo’s Play Panels range, such as a tongue drum or bongos panel. Together they build a themed music corner where children explore rhythm, pitch and sound in one dedicated space.
