The Chalkboard Station XD Play Panel brings a high pressure laminate chalkboard outdoors for creative group play. The chalkboard spans the full panel and comes supplied with a pack of chalk and brushes. Several children can draw side by side, turning the panel into a shared canvas rather than a single-user activity.
Key features of the Chalkboard Station XD Play Panel
- High pressure laminate chalkboard surface
- Chalk and brushes included
- Encourages social, side by side creative play
- Positioned at an accessible height for inclusive play
Drawing on a shared surface gives children an open ended activity with no fixed outcome, so the panel stays fresh every time a group returns to it. Supplying brushes alongside the chalk means several children can create together rather than taking turns, building early collaboration skills alongside creativity. The high pressure laminate surface stands up well to repeated use from a steady stream of different groups.
Schools and nurseries often install the Chalkboard Station XD Play Panel alongside other creative or tactile panels, building a short trail of varied activities for children to move between. The chalkboard surface needs only a routine wipe down as part of a standard inspection to stay ready for use. The panel also suits SEN settings well, where open ended drawing gives children a calm, pressure free way to take part.
Built to last
Caloo builds the panel to the BS EN 1176 playground equipment standard, so schools and nurseries can specify it with confidence. Two colour HDPE resists weather, impact and fading, keeping the panel looking sharp through years of outdoor use.
Teachers often use the Chalkboard Station XD Play Panel for outdoor art sessions that need space for more than one child at a time. Browse the full range of Caloo play panels to pair it with other creative or tactile activities on your site.
