The Playground Communication Panel gives children an easy way to share how they feel. It uses clear images instead of words, so every child can join in. Because the panel sits at an accessible height, wheelchair users can reach it easily. So can younger children. It works well as a stand-alone feature or alongside other panels in a wider play area.
Key features of the Playground Communication Panel
- Accessible panel height for wheelchair users and young children
- Clear image-based communication that needs no words
- Tough two colour HDPE construction that resists weather and fading
- Compact single panel that fits any play area layout
Because the panel uses pictures rather than text, children with different communication needs can use it with confidence. For example, children who are non-verbal can point to an image instead of speaking aloud. The same goes for those still developing their language skills. This visual approach also supports children learning English as an additional language. As a result, the panel helps every child take part in play and in everyday communication.
Schools, nurseries and SEN settings often choose this panel to support inclusive play. It gives autistic children and those with speech and language needs a simple, visual way to interact. Children who struggle with social communication benefit too. Because every child engages differently, this kind of tool matters in the playground. It means no one is left without a way to communicate.
Built to last
The Playground Communication Panel is built to the BS EN 1176 playground equipment standard. This means schools and councils can specify it with confidence. Two colour HDPE resists weather, impact and fading, keeping the graphics clear for years of outdoor use. Caloo designs every panel as part of a wider range of play panels. You can combine it with other activities to build a varied, inclusive play area.
