The Solar Powered Stopwatch Panel brings a working stopwatch into the playground, powered entirely by the sun. A touch sensor starts and stops the timer, so children can race each other, time an activity or simply watch the numbers count. It needs no wiring or batteries to keep running, since the panel draws all its power from its own solar cell.
Key features of the Solar Powered Stopwatch Panel
- Touch sensor start and stop timer
- Runs entirely on solar power, with no batteries to replace
- Adds a timed element to races and physical games
- Durable two colour HDPE construction
Timing a race or activity gives children an instant, visual way to measure their own progress, which keeps them coming back to beat their last result. Because the panel runs on solar power, it needs no electrical supply, which keeps installation simple and running costs at zero.
Schools and nurseries often pair the Solar Powered Stopwatch Panel with running tracks, trim trails or fitness equipment, giving children a reason to time themselves as they move between activities. Because the timer has no moving parts beyond the touch sensor itself, it holds up well to constant outdoor use. For reliable operation, the panel should face the sun at midday and sit clear of trees, buildings or any structure that could cast a shadow over its solar panel.
Built to last
Caloo builds the panel to the BS EN 1176 playground equipment standard, so schools and nurseries can specify it with confidence. Two colour HDPE resists weather, impact and fading, while the solar cell keeps working through years of outdoor use.
The panel operates in temperatures between 0 and 85 degrees Celsius, so it keeps working through a full UK outdoor season. Browse the full range of Caloo play panels to pair it with running tracks or fitness equipment on your site.
