The Colour Wheel Kaleidoscope Play Panel brings a spinning burst of colour to any playground. A 360 degree rotating centre sits behind a shatterproof polycarbonate window. When it turns, bold coloured shapes layer over one another, creating a kaleidoscope effect. As a result, the pattern changes every time a child gives it a spin.
Key features of the Colour Wheel Kaleidoscope Play Panel
As the wheel rotates, overlapping coloured windows combine to create new shades and patterns. This gives children an engaging, ever changing visual result from a simple turning action. In addition, it supports colour recognition, cause and effect learning and fine motor development, all through one easy to use mechanism. Caloo builds the panel from tough, two colour HDPE, and offers it in two sizes. As a result, it can be scaled to suit smaller play areas or larger sensory trails. Caloo also mounts it on sturdy posts for long term outdoor use.
The wheel needs only a light push to operate. Because of this, the Colour Wheel Kaleidoscope Play Panel is accessible to children of varying strength and ability. As a result, it is a popular choice for SEN and inclusive playgrounds, where a satisfying, low effort result matters.
Built to last
Caloo manufactures every play panel from durable, weather resistant HDPE, and tests each one to the RoSPA backed BS EN 1176 playground safety standard. As a result, schools and councils can rely on it for years of outdoor use. In addition, the Colour Wheel Kaleidoscope Play Panel is part of our wider Play Panels range, and every design in the range meets the same high standard.
Pair the Colour Wheel Kaleidoscope Play Panel with the Concave Mirror Play Panel or the Convex Mirror Play Panel to build a themed colour and reflection trail. As a result, they give children several different ways to explore light and colour in one play area.
