The Sensory Hive Activity Station is a freestanding, double sided honeycomb shaped unit packed with hands on activities. A cheerful bee character tops it off, giving the whole piece a friendly, welcoming feel. With activities on both faces, it gives several children space to play at once. As a result, it makes a strong centrepiece for any sensory area.
Key features of the Sensory Hive Activity Station
Across its two faces, children can spin a variety of spinners and flip roller pixels and sparkling discs. They can also roll pink rollerballs and slide coloured counters around a hexagon track. They can peer into a reflective mirror hexagon, and explore a range of tactile plant ons and coloured windows. With this much variety spread across both sides, the Sensory Hive Activity Station supports several children playing together. This encourages social interaction as well as individual sensory exploration. Every activity sits at an easily accessible height. In addition, Caloo builds the unit around a powder coated aluminium post for long term outdoor use. Caloo also tests it to both the British and European BS EN 1176 standard and the American ASTM F1487 standard.
The Sensory Hive Activity Station offers so many different ways to play in one unit. Because of this, it makes an excellent centrepiece for SEN and inclusive playgrounds. It gives children with different needs and interests plenty of options to choose from.
Built to last
Caloo manufactures every play panel from durable, weather resistant HDPE, and tests each one to the RoSPA backed BS EN 1176 playground safety standard. As a result, schools and councils can rely on it for years of outdoor use. In addition, the Sensory Hive Activity Station is part of our wider Play Panels range, and every design in the range meets the same high standard.
Pair the Sensory Hive Activity Station with the Sensory Fidget Totem or the Sensory Hexagons Play Panel to build a standout, multi activity sensory hub. As a result, children get plenty of different textures, sounds and movements to discover in one area.
