The Twist Bearing Play Panel gives children a colourful rotating insert to explore, set against bold purple panels with the word “Twist” arched overhead. In addition, as children spin the insert, small stainless steel balls jingle inside, adding sound to the movement. Caloo moulds the panel from tough two colour HDPE for lasting outdoor use, making it a striking centrepiece for any playground.
Key features of the Twist Bearing Play Panel
At the centre of the panel sits a 360 degree rotating insert set behind a clear polycarbonate window. As children turn it, polished stainless steel balls move and jingle inside, giving a satisfying sound and visual effect with every spin. This simple rotating action supports fine motor skills and cause and effect learning. In addition, Caloo positions the insert at an easily accessible height, so children using wheelchairs or standing frames can join in easily. Caloo fully assembles the panel before supply, ready to mount on site.
Because it combines a single, easy to operate action with a strong visual and audible effect, the Twist Bearing Play Panel is a gentle, inclusive activity. It suits SEN and mainstream playgrounds alike, giving children of different abilities a shared focal point to enjoy together.
Built to last
Caloo manufactures every play panel from durable, weather resistant HDPE. It also tests each one to the RoSPA backed BS EN 1176 playground safety standard. So schools and councils can rely on it for years of outdoor use. In addition, the Twist Bearing Play Panel is part of our wider Play Panels range, built to the same high standard across every design.
Pair the Twist Bearing Play Panel with the Make it Rain Play Panel or Colour Wheel Kaleidoscope Play Panel to build a themed sensory trail. As a result, children get several different ways to explore movement, sound and colour in one play area.
