A standard MUGA supports football, basketball, netball, tennis, hockey and 5-a-side, with markings for each. Larger schemes can also accommodate cricket nets and volleyball, and we often pair a MUGA with an outdoor table tennis table, typically a Butterfly outdoor table tennis table, for added activity.
Anywhere with a level area of around 400m² or more, depending on size, including schools, parish council recreation grounds, parks, housing developments, holiday parks and community centres. We've installed MUGAs from compact 12m goal-end units up to triple courts of 50m × 30m.
Yes, every MUGA we install meets BS EN 15312, with surfacing to BS EN 1177 and an RPII post-installation inspection. We supply manufacturer-certified systems and don't substitute components.
Yes, size, sport markings, fencing height, gates, colour, MUGA flooring and floodlighting can all be specified for the site. We don't manufacture bespoke equipment, but we configure off-the-shelf manufacturer systems to your brief.
Yes, manufacturer structural guarantees typically run 10–25 years on the cage, with shorter warranties on surfacing (5–10 years) and floodlights (manufacturer-dependent). We confirm specifics on every quote.
Most MUGA pitches use polymeric rubber, macadam or artificial grass laid over a free-draining stone base. Polymeric gives the most grip and shock absorption, macadam is the hardest wearing for general play, and artificial grass suits football and hockey. We match the surface to the sports you prioritise and the level of use you expect.
Almost always, yes. MUGA fencing keeps balls in play, protects nearby paths and parking, and defines the court so it can be locked or booked out. Rebound fencing panels also become part of the game, which is why we recommend them for smaller courts and school sites.
